I was doing my lunch in a restaurant today when the waiter came in to serve water and accidentally spilt a whole glass on the table.
It wasn't a big deal. These type of accidents happen. It wasn't his fault.
However, what happened next was his fault.
He just shifted our plates to the next empty table and walked away. He didn't even feel the need to say anything.
I don't know if he was too proud to apologize or just too nervous but I'm never going back to that place again.
Apologizing when it's your fault doesn't make you look inferior. It shows that you care.
If the waiter would've said at least something, let alone apologizing, I would've forgotten the entire fiasco.
People forgive when you ask for forgiveness.
If you've done something wrong, apologize.
