Today, in the office, one of my friends, Sankalp, showed us a video of him making a video game rig from scratch.
The process looked pretty enjoyable on camera. Little did we know the amount of hard work and dedication he had put into this project.
That was until he explained the whole process to us.
In the end, he said:
"You really need to want to desperately have that finished product in order to survive the whole process. Passion will be your fuel."
Indeed, it's true. You need to love what you're doing to stick to your work when times get tough.
Without meaning, without passion, a goal becomes a long-term chore.
And no one enjoys doing chores. Do you?
Whatever new project that you might be taking on from now, identify the element in it that made you think of it in the first place.
Is there some kind of reward that you're looking for? Or do you just want to enjoy the whole journey?
Whatever might be your motivation, make sure it's strong enough to last until the end. Otherwise, you're very likely to drop your project midway.
Let your passion drive you through the roadblocks. Be unstoppable.
